Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Academy Instructor to lead the SmartWiz Academy, delivering high-quality content through our LearnWorld platform and facilitating our monthly 3-week training courses. As an Academy Instructor, you’ll be responsible for keeping our learning platform updated with engaging content, conducting live virtual classes, and guiding students as they embark on the journey of starting their own tax preparation businesses. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education, tax expertise, and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, engaging, and interactive tax preparation training with a focus on helping students start and grow their own tax preparation businesses.
• Regularly update and maintain the course materials and videos, ensuring they are up to date, accurate, and aligned with the latest tax regulations.
• Create and refine course materials, including lesson plans, quizzes, practice problems, and videos, to provide a dynamic and thorough learning experience.
• Foster a positive, interactive learning environment by engaging with students, addressing questions, providing feedback, and ensuring they grasp complex tax preparation concepts.
• Stay current on tax laws and regulations to ensure that the course content remains relevant and up to date. Adapt and improve the curriculum to align with student needs and industry trends.
• Collaborate with the SmartWiz team to participate in special projects, such as boot camps or other workshops, aimed at enhancing the Academy and driving business growth.
• Continue providing guidance during tax season by holding Q&A sessions to assist students with tax return queries, helping them efficiently serve their clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in training, teaching, or coaching, preferably in the field of tax preparation or financial services.
• A strong understanding of tax preparation, tax regulations, and tax software (experience with TaxWise software is a plus).
• Ability to navigate learning platforms such as LearnWorld and other virtual education tools. Experience in managing online educational content is highly desired.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand lessons.
• Comfortable with flexible work schedules, including evening sessions, and capable of adjusting course materials and teaching styles to meet the needs of different learners.
• A commitment to being punctual, prepared, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions with students and team members.
